Prep to Year 10 Curriculum and Standards
The Victorian Prep to Year 10 curriculum is described in the standards and learning focus statements for each domain.
Standards define the essential knowledge, skills and behaviours that students should know and are able to do at different levels of schooling. Teachers use the standards to plan teaching programs and use them as the basis of assessment and reporting of student achievement.
Learning focus statements are provided at each level for each domain. They suggest the types of learning experiences students require to develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours for that domain.
Accessing the standards
There are three ways to access the standards. The first two options allow users to create and print or export their own combination of levels and domains. The third option downloads pre-formatted documents.

Complete VELS curriculum documents for a level or domain. These contain the standards plus support material including level introductions, stages of learning information, domain introductions and learning focus statements.
