What are the Grampians?
The Grampians is a national park west of Melbourne.
They are made up of mountains, towns and sightseeing places.
Places to go
The old quarry is a must do because of all the history and the climbing to entertain the kids. A long time ago, people blasted the rocks and it now looks quite different to what it used to look like. There are also many exhibitions and rock features to see there.
Annotation
-
Humanities knowledge and understanding – 2.5
- Identifies the use of the Grampians area as a national park and provides a limited description of features of the park.
- Recognises that the use of land as a quarry has affected the environment but does not identify how the natural features have been changed by this human activity.
