Health and Physical Education Assessment Map - Sample at 1.5

Locomotor and manipulative skills

Context

Students were asked to demonstrate a range of basic to more complex locomotor and manipulative skills through simple individual and partner activities. Students performed skills such as the run, catch, vertical jump, single rope jumping, ball bounce and leap.

Prior to undertaking this assessment task students participated in a unit which focused on developing these skills in individual, partner, drill and relay activities.

The element of the Movement and physical activity Level 2 standard addressed by this task is:

(Students) demonstrate basic motor skills and some more complex skills.
