What is Lactose Intolerance?
Lactose intolerance is the inability of the body to break down and digest lactose properly. Lactose is a sugar found in products like milk and cheese. The intolerance is caused by a lack of the enzyme lactase in the stomach. Symptoms include a boating feeling, discomfort in the abdomen and diarrhoea.
