Curriculum Programs
There are many ways in which schools structure programs based on the VELS to best meet the expectations of their local communities and their students’ needs, while maximising the effectiveness of staff expertise. It is each school’s responsibility to construct an educational program for all of its students which ensures that they can achieve the standards expected at different stages of learning in all three strands. The school context will determine the approach, or combination of approaches, to curriculum delivery that best meets its needs.
This resource focuses on some of the approaches schools are using to develop their programs and provides examples of how the programs can be implemented and monitored.
It also shows the different approaches schools have taken to developing units of work.
