literacies: The term literacies encompasses the distinct language aspects of each subject such as the specialised language used to describe and analyse key concepts and the typical forms and conventions used to convey meaning. Through understanding of the literacies of the contexts in which they are working, students learn to make choices about the appropriate language to present ideas and information effectively for different purposes and audiences.
