Information and Communications Technology Level 2

Introduction

The work samples in this section form the Level 2 part of the assessment map for Information and Communications Technology (ICT). Other parts of the assessment map can be accessed by using the menu on the right side of the screen.

The ICT Level 2 standard describes what students should know and be able to do at this level. The following work samples illustrate the kinds of responses that students produce when they are working at the Level 2 standard.

Samples at Level 2 – Creating an information product to describe a production process

Context

Students were asked to create an information product for a target audience (peers) to show the stages involved in making food products. They were familiar with the software prior to undertaking the task. Students selected images for their chosen production process from an image bank on the school’s computer network.
