Health and Physical Education Level 6

Introduction

The work samples in this section form the Level 6 part of the assessment map for Health and Physical Education. Other parts of the assessment map can be accessed by using the menu on the right side of the screen.

The Health and Physical Education Level 6 standards describe what students should know and be able to do at this level. The following work samples illustrate the kinds of response that students produce when they are working at the Level 6 standard.

Sample at Level 6 – Interval training

Context

Students were asked to select a sport that would be suited to interval training. Students were then asked to design and administer an interval training program including a full warm up, intervals of work, intervals of rest and a warm down at the end of the training session. Interviews were conducted with students in which they evaluated their interval training program.
